FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
A battery charger is required to keep the generator battery (s) in a fully charged state, so that when the engine/generator is required to start, the battery (s) will be sufficiently charged to provide the relevant power.
We do offer extended warranty depending on the client requirements for number of years or hours of operation.
Our warranty coverage includes 1 year unlimited hours for prime applications and 2 years for stand-by applications.
To prolong the life of your engine and warranty (if applicable), we strongly recommend the use of genuine filters and spare parts, as they have been made and tested to the highest standard that we can confirm and fit the purpose. This reliability cannot be confirmed for non-genuine parts.
Maintenance of a generator depends on site/environmental conditions, fuel type, sulphur content etc. which may be more or less than what is stated in the engine/generator user guide. We do recommend regular check-ups to enhance the machine life.
In order to avoid over load, a generator must not exceed 80-85% of its capacity and to avoid under load, a generator set must not operate below 40-45% of its capacity.
Our generators are designed to work on normal and extreme climatic conditions. When operated on high ambient temperature, an amount of de-ration should be considered from the normal rating. Our sales team can provide you with the required details.
Prime Rating generators are the one intended to run without any restriction of running hour. Output of these generators can be of varying load to a peak demand of 100% for an unlimited time. A 10% of overload capability is allowed for emergency use for a maximum of 1 hour in 12 hours.
Standby Rating generators are the ones for supplying emergency power for the duration of normal power interruption. No sustained overload capability is permitted for this rating.
The size of a generator is related to load type (inductive, resistive, liner, non-linear etc.), loading steps or sequences, application (Prime, standby, continuous) and operation location ambient conditions. In case of any difficulty, please contact us and one of our sales or technical staff will be more than happy to assist you.
Generators are required in places where the mains electricity is not available or as an emergency backup power supply when a shortage of mains power occurs. They can also be used for complex application such as peak-lopping, grid support and exporting of power.
Jubaili Bros supplies generators which have diesel engine as the prime mover for the alternators.
A generator is the combination of a prime mover such as diesel engines, gas engines, steam turbines etc. connected to an alternator to generate electrical energy.
